A SPOOK-TACULAR WEEK OF HALF TERM FUN!

One of our favourite weeks of year, October half-term.

A themed week that is always a hit with the kids.

From deathly dodgeball and freaky football to riotous rugby and bloody-basketball, there is a Halloween twist awaiting all campers this week.

With some arts and crafts, rounders, a game of cricket, or a chance to try their reactions out against the BlazePods, it’s going to be a garishly good week.

If you have been to a camp before you will know what to expect. If not, this is a great time to try us out. There will be something for everyone!

The full activity schedule will be available soon. Here is an idea of what we might be getting up to throughout the week.

Head Coach

Your Just Camps Coach for this holiday is:

Essential info:

Day Timings:

  • Extended Day: 08:00 - 17:30
  • Full Day : 09:00 - 15:30
  • Half Day: 09:00 - 12:30

** If you have signed up for Full or Half Day session and require an early drop off before 09:00 or a pick up after 3:30, then you can take along £2.50 for either the morning or afternoon extension each day (£5 for both) and utilise the early drop off/late pick up facility on the day of arrival **

Age groupings:

The composition of each camp varies between holidays, both in terms of the number of children and the range of age groups present. Nonetheless, our commitment is to organise children into suitable age groups and provide individual challenges within the framework of group activities. Should you desire your child to be grouped with a particular friend or sibling, kindly discuss this preference with the head coach during the initial morning drop-off, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

What you will need:

  • Your child will need suitable clothing for running around and playing games

  • Your child should have enough to drink

  • Pack a snack for their break

  • Include a packed lunch (please avoid bringing nuts)

  • Pack a rain jacket for wet weather, or sun cream and a hat if it is a warm one, as we always plan to spend time outdoors if possible.

  • NOTE: Children are not allowed to use mobile phones, tablets, or similar devices at camp. It is recommended that they are left at home.

Collection password

  • When you registered through the website you would have had the option to set your own collection pass code, you will need to quote this code when collecting your child from camp.
  • This is a safeguarding precaution in place to make sure your child is leaving with the correct guardian. If an alternative friend or family member is collecting your child you will need to pass on the code.
  • If the person collecting does not have the code then we will have to call the emergency contact number once all of the other children have left to confirm collection.
  • If you cannot locate your code you will be able to confirm this with the Head Coach at morning drop off.

Camp Expectations

Just Camps is a busy, active group environment. To ensure we can keep all children safe, children attending camp should be able to:

  • Follow simple instructions from our coaches.

  • Remain within the designated camp areas and not attempt to leave or run away.

  • Take part safely without requiring continuous 1:1 supervision.

  • Use the toilet independently, including clothing and personal hygiene. Our coaches cannot provide intimate personal care or wiping.

  • Move between activities safely with their group.

  • Communicate their basic needs to a coach.

We welcome children with additional needs wherever we can safely support them within our usual staffing arrangements. If your child requires 1:1 support, personal care or additional supervision, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether camp is suitable for them.

⏰ Late Collection Policy

At Just Camps, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all children. To help us maintain high standards of care and ensure our team can operate effectively, we kindly ask that all children are collected promptly at their designated finish time.

Our daily finish times are:

  • 12:30pm (Half Day & HAF funded AM session)
  • 3:30pm (Standard/Full Day)
  • 430pm (HAF funded PM session)
  • 5:30pm (Extended Day)

To support our staff and safeguard all children, the following Late Collection Policy is in place:

A 5-minute grace period is allowed after your child's scheduled finish time.
After this, a late fee of £1 per minute will be charged per child.
Charges begin from 6 minutes past the finish time, based on the camp clock.

Example

If your child is booked until 3:30pm and is collected at 3:42pm, a £7 late collection fee will apply (7 minutes over the grace period).

Late collection fees will be added to your account and must be paid before making any future bookings.

We understand that delays can happen unexpectedly, and ask that you contact the camp directly if you’re running late. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep Just Camps running safely and smoothly.
